EV fleet sharing

By introducing EV fleet sharing to your fleet and sharing those vehicles through an efficient booking and keyless-driving system you can achieve 8:1 environmental impact reduction. Through our partner, Urban Mobility Innovations, we have experience of operating EV fleet sharing in a capital city since 2016.

Fleet sharing has only really become an option since the introduction of EVs. This 2019 study shows that while traditional fossil-fuel fleet vehicles are at end of life at 100,000 miles, EVs are still in use at 300,000 miles. To put it another way, a parked car is not a car.

With the age and culture shift of the younger generations reaching work age we see a significant shift happening in work forces. The ‘millennials’ are active sharers who do not want to make the unnecessary investment in wealth-signalling objects such as cars. When they need such items, they prefer to share. Regarding the climate emergency, they want to see active steps taken such as EV and EV fleet sharing to address environmental impacts immediately rather than offset.

Our GoodMoovs EV fleet sharing platform and apps provides:

  • fleet switching
  • keyless driving provided by car sharing module / telemetry device limited to approved members
  • choice of Android or iOS apps for bookings and keyless driving
  • open data platform for employers and fleet owners
  • journey data
  • damage reporting before and after journey
  • back-to-base car sharing
  • service and support options available
  • out-of-hours journey-management options
  • gamification – incentivised green miles

Booking and driving a shared EV with our

GoodMoovs platform and apps is simple

step 1: make a booking on the platform or your smartphone, choose your date and time, select the EV you want to drive from the available range

step 2: use your smartphone to download the Bluetooth key (which means it will still work underground or out of Wi-Fi range), to capture any damage to the vehicle and then open the EV and start the engine

step 3: make your journey while the EV sharing module captures journey data

step 4: return to base and use your smartphone to report any new damage, close the booking and lock the EV ready for the next driver
